(A Tyee Chinook Being sent back to fulfill its journey)
Fishing the costal waters of British Columbia has been a huge part of my life. I have loved the Ocean since I was a child and have been working at one of BC’s premier sport fishing operations (Queen charlotte lodge) sine age 15.
Chinook Salmon are one of the most formidable game fish. they are incredibly power full, uniquely beautiful and their size variation makes them one of the most exciting trophy sport fish to chase.
The great thing about their size variation is you can combine food and trophy fishing into one. I allowed, retain a 15 lb spring, it is some of the best fish you will eat. If you get the chance, releasing a Tyee Chinook and watching it swim off is one of the most moving and powerful experiences an angler can have!
Along with Chinook, There 4 other species of salmon, all worthy of being Chased with a rod and real! To complement the salmon, there are many bottom fishing opportunities as well as trapping and even diving if you really want to get into your Ocean critters!

I have Worked at QCL for the last 6 summers. I started my Guiding Career here and still look forward to returning every year. Some of my best friends I met working here and I have had countless memorable moments both on and off the water in my time at QCL.
